Dr. Maureen Hoffmann
Principal Consultant
I believe that a successful evaluation strengthens your work by supporting program staff in uncovering the reasons behind your successes while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The key is a strong partnership between you and your evaluator: an evaluation should be done with you, not to you. Whether you’re a “data nerd” like me, or you consider data and evaluation a “necessary evil,” I am passionate about helping organizations translate data into clear insights that drive continuous improvement and decision making.
As an evaluator, I leverage my background in anthropology to examine community attitudes and outcomes through observations, interviews, and surveys, using the information I uncover to determine meaningful themes and recommendations for programs. My work ranges from short-term to multi-year evaluations for educational institutions, state agencies, non-profits, and other organizations to evaluate their programs and determine and enhance their impacts.
"As an evaluator, I see myself as a partner to my clients, translating data into real-world insights to help your program reach its goals. Evaluations should be flexible, responsive, and accessible to all."
